Allied Blenders & Distillers has appointed Arvind Mohta as Marketing Director.
His professional journey spans over 19 years across renowned companies such as United Spirits (a Diageo Group company), Johnson & Johnson, Jubilant Industries, Mahindra Holidays, and most recently, Pernod Ricard India.
At Pernod Ricard India, where he spent over three years, Mohta held critical leadership positions. As Marketing Head for the West & CSD, he drove market share gains in prestige, premium, and BIO segments, while nurturing a culture of conviviality across Maharashtra, Goa, MP, Chhattisgarh, and All India CSD. Before that, as Region Head for Upper North, he managed the P&L across Punjab, Chandigarh, and Jammu. He successfully implemented new RTM models and championed the growth of the BIO portfolio, significantly boosting profitability.
Prior to Pernod Ricard, Mohta served as Chief Marketing Officer and Business Development Lead at Jubilant Agri & Consumer Products, where he helped shape a forward-looking craft beverage portfolio and worked closely with the group’s venture capital team. His brief but impactful tenure at Mahindra Holidays saw him lead a sales transformation initiative, launching a new lead management strategy in collaboration with the Mahindra Group Strategy Office.
An entrepreneurial stint followed, where Mohta co-founded Tryy.in, a consumer tech start-up envisioned as India’s omni-channel experiential trial platform. As CEO, he spearheaded product development, client acquisition, campaign execution, and digital engagement strategies.
His earlier stint with Diageo’s United Spirits included dual roles as General Manager for International Business in Sub-Saharan Africa and Marketing Manager for the Diageo Reserve portfolio in India. He led strategic initiatives in markets like Angola and Zambia while overseeing luxury brand marketing for labels such as Johnnie Walker and Ciroc Vodka in India.
Mohta also gained vital B2B experience at Johnson & Johnson as a Regional Sales Manager for South India, managing J&J Medical’s Ethicon franchise and consistently surpassing sales targets while transforming team structures and regional strategy.
His career began with United Spirits, where he contributed to critical projects like the brand rejuvenation of DSP Black and the pioneering launch of tetrapak packaging for whisky, which drove substantial profit improvements.
