While a number of private companies are laying off their employees during these trying times, some companies have gone beyond their limits to ensure that employees affected with COVID-19, recovering and deceased, get justice no matter where they are.
So which of these companies are god-sent? Here’s a list of how these popular Indian companies are standing high with their workforce.
Borosil
Earlier this week, Borosil announced that it would take care of any employee that passes away due to the coronavirus pandemic. This means that the deceased individual’s family will be taken care of. If he or she has children, their education fee would be paid off up until graduation. This is the least they can do as a warm gesture to help everyone on the team.
Amazon
Any employee affected with COVID-19 is being given a 14-days special paid leave. This also includes those who have a COVID-19 affected individual at home. The company is going forward in providing any assistance required by the employees and their families.
Capgemini
Any employee that is eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine can get it done, all expenses paid from Capgemini. The company is willing to carry the load to ensure that its employees remain safe and sound.
Zomato
If an employee, unfortunately, passes away due to the coronavirus pandemic, Zomato is willing to pay off 100% of his or her salary to his family members for the next 2 years as gratitude for service.
Urban Company
Urban Company has helped set up a relief fund to help its employees counter any expenses required to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. This fund has been extended out to the company’s employees as well as partners who urgently require it.
Are you privileged to work for any of these companies? If you don’t belong here, is your company helping the employees in any way during these tough times?
