Ever since a lockdown was implemented in several states in India, a number of shows – new and old, have been telecasted on Doordarshan. Some of these shows have been a favourite ever since we were kids and some that we’ve fallen in love with just recently. The Broadcast Audience Research Channel (BARC), there are 5 shows that are quite trending in today’s times and have been gaining the most TRP ever since the lockdown was implemented.
Ramayan
Dangal has re-aired Ramayan, the series that first premiered in the year 2008. This is currently the highest watch show on television in today’s times. Further, actors and couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are being appreciated by the audiences as Ram and Sita respectively.
Kundali Bhagya
Kundali Bhagya is the second on the list which the highest TRP after Ramayan. It is a family drama that first aired in 2017, and has had two seasons so far. Its entertaining script has hooked the audience to their TV sets!
Mahima Shanidev Ki
Mythological series are much appreciated by the Indian audience. Rightfully so, the show called ‘Mahima Shanidev Ki’ entails the story of Lord Shiva and how his powers have helped people face their trouble. Since India is a God-fearing country with different cultures, this show ranks third on the list.
Shri Krishna
Another God involving series, Shri Krishna, narrates the story of Lord Krishna and how he grew up and fought monsters. Lord Krishna is an important Hindu deity who is worshipped by many individuals. According to BARC, DD National’s Shri Krishna is placed at the fourth spot.
Naagin 5
Colors is currently airing season 5 of Naagin. After the end of season 4, people have taken up to pass their time during the lockdown by watching this show. It is surely a good treat to the eyes and ranks at the fifth place in this list by BARC.
