Chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, Anand Mahindra who is known for his philanthropy has time and again won all our hearts but it is his recent gesture for a Karnataka based man D Krishna Kumar that proves why he is indeed the “king of all our hearts”.
Kumar who hails from Mysuru reportedly quit his job after his father’s demise to take his mother to see every corner of India on his 20-year-old Bajaj scooter. Moved by the man’s love for his mother Mahindra did not hesitate and offered to gift him a brand new Mahindra KUV 100 for his next trip with his mother.
Mahindra who first learned about Kumar from Twitter instantly tweeted, “A beautiful story. About the love for a mother but also about the love for a country… Thank you for sharing this Manoj. If you can connect him to me, I’d like to personally gift him a Mahindra KUV 100 NXT so he can drive his mother in a car on their next journey.”

While many praised Mahindra for his offer including a few sharing Kumar’s number many users also pointed out that the old scooter holds emotional value for Kumar as it belonged to his deceased father and that he had refused to let go of it.
Here’s how people reacted to Mahindra’s offer:
Salutes to a gentleman Indian. With this you personified the meaning of being an Indian. Thanks and respects. To you and to respected Dakshinamurthy. https://t.co/kNq5V5ByPZ

He reflects the charisma n principles of story of Shrawan which we heard when we were kids. He carried his blind parents on shoulders. Hence calling him Shrawan of modern times wont be wrong #incredible #india https://t.co/OKIReStsTa

Beautiful gesture! But you hv offer him some truck for his journey, because for Mr. Krishna that's not just a scooter, it's his father traveling with him 😄
