Nobel Prize Winner Abhijit Banerjee Has A “17 Page” Long CV

It was a proud moment for every Indian across the globe when the Indian-American Abhijit Banerjee won the Nobel Prize in Economics along with two others.

Abhijit & the others won this prize for their “experimental approach to alleviating global poverty.”

The three were recognized for their ability to divide the issue of tackling global poverty into smaller subjects, said the committee. But recently, Abhijit‘s most talked-about aspect has been his pretty extensive resume.

His 17 page long CV has been making rounds on the internet which boasts his impeccable academic records, key positions at Harvard, Princeton universities and several articles, as well as his books.

Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee (his full name), 58, was born in Mumbai (India) and attended South Point School in the city. He went to Presidency College, Calcutta, where he completed his BS degree in Economics in 1981. He completed his M.A. in Economics at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi in 1983. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard in 1988. Banerjee wrote his doctoral thesis on ‘Essays in Information Economics’ and received his doctorate in 1988.
