How Brands Used Avengers Endgame Trend To Advertise Themselves

The long wait has finally come to an end with Avengers Endgame releasing today 26th April.

The 22nd movie by Marvel Cinematic Universe broke all records even before hitting the screens. BookMyShow announced that the ticket platform sold over 2.5 million tickets in advance till 25th April and that it is the fastest Hollywood film to have surpassed the 2 million advance ticket sales mark.

Where on one side fans are going gaga over the latest superhero movie, brands all over the world have tried to partner with Avenger Endgame and the list is crazy.

1. Cinepolis:

The movie theatre chain announced India’s first movie marathon screening the Marvel movies which are essential to understanding the basic stakes and character arcs that will conclude with the “Avengers Endgame release.

The 20-hour movie marathon that started on April 25th 8 a.m. onwards across four cities- Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Bhubaneshwar will screen 9 selected Marvel movies and will award the first 100 fans with special Disney merchandise and certificates.

2. MAX Kids

Max fashion has associated with Marvel Avenger Endgame in India and has planned a 360-degree campaign that will run for 45 days which includes an annual kids fest at all its stores across the country. The brand has also had life-sized figures of favorite Avengers such as Hulk, Ironman, Thor, Spiderman, Captain America put up to attract the kids.

 

3. Crocs

Crocs has launched its new collection inspired by Marvel’s Avengers for kids. The new Avenger range includes some of the most iconic Marvel Super Heroes like Captain America, Spider-Man, Ironman and others.

4. Audi

In its latest ad campaign for the US market Audi joined hands with Marvel Studios and released a digital spot on titled “The Debriefing” on Thursday. It starrs Brie Larson of Captain Marvel and shows her return to Earth after many years where she is being recapped on whatever she has missed including advances in the war of gluten, technology and the formation of the Avengers.

The Marvel fans will also be able to spot an Audi in the Avengers Endgame.

5. Myntra

The e-commerce giant released a collection by Kook & Keech which is inspired by the Marvel Avengers Endgame and has over 400 styles for fans to choose from.

The collection has a wide variety of printed t-shirts for men and women which includes t-shirts with Avengers logo and other superhero symbols, characters, and comics.

6. Durex

Durex India who is known for its sport on reactions has yet again impressed everyone with its latest tweet connecting the brand with the superhero movie.

7. McDonalds USA

McDonald’s as a part of its renewed association with Disney has brought the 24 Avengers Endgame toys for the Happy Meals which includes 2 “mystery toys”. Also, they have extended the experience to their mobile app where families can unlock a team of 7 virtual Avengers and get to watch an exclusive behind the scene video from the movie.

8. Coca-Cola Japan

Coca-Cola Japan has partnered with Marvel to celebrate the final chapter of the story. Both brands have teamed up for a limited edition Coca-Cola Zero cans each sporting a key Avenger from Endgame who’ll be executing a mysterious plan to undo what the Mad Titan did in Avengers: Infinity War.

One side of can shows the superhero survivors of the Thanos’ snap whereas the other side shows Thanos himself.

9. Google

Google and Marvel Studio have collaborated for Avengers Endgame with exclusive Playmoji pack on Pixel 3 phones which includes Black widow, Captain Marvel, Thor, Rocket and War machine. It announced that “something big is coming to the Pixel universe” soon that will help the Avengers fight Thanos.

10. Adidas

Adidas, in celebration of the last installment, has announced the ‘Heroes Among Us’ sneaker collection featuring five shoe designs worn by five athletes sponsored by Adidas which also will be marketed globally including India.

11. MasterCard and Stand Up For Cancer

Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), Mastercard and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame have announced coming together of them to take on cancer through its public service ads.

The PSA campaign featuring Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame Super Heroes alongside real-life heroes: cancer survivors. will come to life across print, TV, radio, digital and out-of-home networks, aligning with the premiere of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame in theaters April 26, 2019.

The two global brands are collaborating to raise awareness for SU2C to help all patients become long-term survivors.

12. Twitter

Twitter has launched about 40 emojis for Avengers: Endgame, with a dedicated one for each of the Marvel characters including Thanos, IronMan, Captain America, Black Panther, Hulk, Hawkeye, and even Groot.

One can use these emojis by simply typing the character’s name as a hashtag. The emoji will appear automatically next to the hashtag

13. Oppo Manila

Oppo has announced to launch a brand new F11 Pro Avengers Limited Edition smartphone, which is an exclusive model released in cooperation with Marvel Studios.

The OPPO F11 Pro Avengers Limited Edition comes in a unique design called Space Blue. The back cover features a design inspired by Captain America’s armor. A wallpaper featuring the magnificent Avengers logo shines completes the look.

14. Miniso

Miniso, the Chinese retailer that has a presence in India too, has teamed up with Marvel to launch multiple superhero-branded products. About 2000 of such merchandise will be sold in over 100 countries, covering five continents.
