Internet was flooded with so many different reactions when Jio announced about blocking 827 websites which had adult content. Following Jio, other telecom operators including Airtel and Vodafone have also decided to do the same.
All the telecom companies have been instructed by the Department of Telecommunications DoT to do so. Earlier, the Uttarakhand HC had ordered a ban on 857 websites but Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) didn’t found anything objectionable in 30 websites and hence, 827 websites were blocked.

When Jio agreed on this step, there was a protest on the social media and customers started thinking of shifting to other companies but now other ISPs are also following the order and blocking the websites.
However, there are still some methods through which people can view p*rn such as using VPNs or proxy sites. Look how Twitter reacted to this:
