Dream Sports CTO Amit Sharma Steps Down, Launches AI Startup

Amit Sharma has stepped down as Chief Technology Officer of Dream Sports after nearly a decade with the company. Sharma, who joined the sports technology company in December 2016, is set to launch his own AI venture, marking the end of a career spanning leadership roles at Dream Sports, Netflix, Yahoo and L&T Infotech.

Dream Sports CTO Amit Sharma Steps Down, Launches AI Startup

Amit Sharma has resigned as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Dream Sports after nearly 10 years with the company and is set to launch his own artificial intelligence (AI) venture, Stealth.

As per Sharma’s LinkedIn post, he concluded his tenure at Dream Sports in July 2026, having served as CTO since December 2016. During his time at the company, he oversaw its technology function as Dream Sports expanded its portfolio of sports technology products and platforms.

Alongside his role as CTO, Sharma also served as Co-Founder of Dream Play from January 2025 to July 2026, and was associated with DreamX from August 2022 to August 2024, contributing to the company’s innovation initiatives.

Before joining Dream Sports, Sharma was part of the engineering team at Netflix, where he worked from August 2011 to October 2016. Prior to that, he spent over four years at Yahoo, serving in engineering roles from April 2007 to August 2011.

Earlier in his career, Sharma worked as an SAP Consultant at L&T Infotech from August 2003 to December 2004.

With his departure from Dream Sports, Sharma is now preparing to launch his own AI startup, signalling a move from corporate technology leadership to entrepreneurship. Further details about the venture have not yet been disclosed.
