Kids home and personal care startup Awenest has secured backing from Veeba founder Viraj Bahl after appearing on Shark Tank India. The investment has followed the brand’s pitch focused on routine-specific products designed for children.
The company has reported steady growth since launch. Awenest has recorded net sales of Rs 1.6 crore in FY24, which has increased to Rs 3.52 crore in FY25. In FY26 year-to-date, the brand has already generated Rs 2.8 crore in revenue and has projected Rs 10 crore in net sales for the full year. The business has also reached a monthly run rate of Rs 70 lakh in October 2025 while improving its unit economics. Gross margins have expanded from 50% in FY25 to around 65% in FY26 year-to-date.
Awenest has focused on developing routine-specific home and personal care products for children rather than adapting adult formulations. The founders have estimated the kids home and personal care category in India to be a Rs 30,000 crore opportunity.
The brand has gained national visibility after appearing on Shark Tank India, where its approach to children-focused products has attracted interest from the Sharks and resulted in an investment offer from Bahl.
Several Awenest products have also emerged as top sellers on Amazon, reflecting demand from parents looking for kids-specific personal and home care alternatives.
Awenest has followed a digital-first distribution strategy. Around 45% of its sales have come from Amazon, while another 45% has come from quick commerce platforms including Blinkit and other quick commerce channels. Modern trade has contributed about 3% of the company’s revenue and is expected to expand as the brand scales distribution.
The company has been founded by Kinshuk, Atul and Jahangir. Kinshuk, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, has previously managed businesses with revenues exceeding Rs 3,000 crore. Atul, an alumnus of IIM Lucknow, has experience in marketing and digital growth, including scaling platforms with more than 10 million subscribers. Jahangir has led operations and has experience in P&L management and business turnarounds, having previously managed businesses of over Rs 2,500 crore.
Following its Shark Tank India appearance and the investment offer from Viraj Bahl, Awenest has planned to expand its presence in modern trade, strengthen distribution across quick commerce platforms and launch new products focused on children’s daily routines.
