Zakka Jacob has been set to leave CNN-News18 and join Times Now as managing editor, sources close to the development have told Marketing Mind.
He has currently been serving as senior anchor and group foreign affairs editor at CNN-News18. His move has marked another senior-level change in the English news television space.
Jacob had earlier been serving as managing editor at CNN-News18 before stepping aside from the role during an organisational reshuffle. The restructuring had resulted in Rahul Shivshankar being appointed as editorial affairs director. Following the reshuffle, Jacob had continued with the network in his capacity as senior anchor and group foreign affairs editor.
At Times Now, he has been set to take on the role of managing editor. The development has come at a time when leadership changes have also been reported at the Times Network.
Navika Kumar, who has been serving as group editor-in-chief of Times Now Navbharat and Times Now, has been expected to transition into a consulting role, according to reports.
