India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd has announced the appointment of Hajime Aota as the new Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, with effect from January 1, 2026.
The company has said that Aota has most recently served as Executive Officer at Yamaha Motor and as Chief General Manager of the Corporate Strategy Center at the company’s global headquarters in Japan, as per the official statement. In these roles, he has overseen corporate strategy, sustainability initiatives, and digital strategy.
Yamaha Motor has added that Aota has brought extensive experience in corporate strategy, corporate planning, and new venture business development within the automotive sector. He has also held senior leadership roles across multiple global markets, including Japan, the US, and the UK.
