Amazon MX Player has appointed Niraj Mishra as Head of Growth and Product Marketing, marking his return to the platform in a senior leadership role after earlier leading user growth.
He announced this move via a linkedin post.
Mishra most recently served as Vice President Product Marketing at Dream11 from May 2025 to November 2025, where he worked on performance-led growth initiatives.
Before Dream11, Mishra worked at Disney+ Hotstar as Head of Product Growth and International Expansion from September 2022 to May 2025. At Disney+ Hotstar, he was responsible for growth across markets and product-led expansion. Earlier, from March 2021 to August 2022, Mishra served as Head of User Growth at Amazon MX Player, where he built a 25-member growth team overseeing acquisition and retention, optimised remarketing for MX Player, streamlined digital marketing costs, managed digital branding campaigns for shows such as Aashram 3, Campus Diaries and Bhaukaal, and scaled MX Takatak as one of India’s key short video platforms.
From February 2020 to March 2021, Mishra was Lead – User Growth at ByteDance, delivering 1.5% weekly user growth, running paid campaigns across Google, Meta, OEMs and affiliates, improving organic installs and retention, and launching referral and UX-led initiatives to raise watch time, share rate and login success rate.
Before that, Mishra worked at ZEE5 Global from October 2015 to January 2020 as Global Lead – Subscription Revenue, leading subscription performance across international markets. His responsibilities included improving I2R, V2R, R2S and S2RS, driving subscription growth through segmented marketing, designing the product roadmap for conversion optimisation, collaborating across functions, and managing partnerships with telcos, OEMs, PayTV operators and aggregators.
Earlier, from October 2014 to October 2015 at Suvidhaa Infoserve, Mishra held the role of DGM Marketing, leading domestic remittance as category head, managing sales and GTV targets of up to Rs 60 billion per month, expanding markets, improving profitability, and overseeing cash-out services and the AXIS-Suvidhaa prepaid card business including lifecycle management and user adoption.
From June 2012 to September 2014, Mishra worked at Idea Cellular as Assistant Manager Marketing, handling micro-segmentation, product development, campaign management, communication planning, churn reduction and retailer schemes, alongside achieving budgeted targets for incremental revenue and contribution.
