Reliance Industries, through Reliance Intelligence, has partnered with Google to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across India. The alliance has been aimed at empowering consumers, enterprises, and developers, aligning with Reliance’s vision of ‘AI for All’.
The partnership has rolled out multiple initiatives that combine Reliance’s connectivity and ecosystem reach with Google’s AI expertise. Together, both companies have worked towards democratising AI access and strengthening India’s digital infrastructure for an AI-driven future.
As part of the collaboration, Google and Reliance Intelligence have begun offering 18 months of free access to Google AI Pro, including the latest Gemini 2.5 Pro model, to eligible Jio users. The package, worth Rs 35,100 per user, includes image and video generation tools, Notebook LM access, and 2 TB of cloud storage. The rollout has started with 18–25-year-old users on Jio’s unlimited 5G plans and is set to expand nationwide soon.
Additionally, Reliance Intelligence has partnered with Google Cloud to expand access to advanced AI hardware accelerators, including Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This move has aimed to help organisations train and deploy large-scale AI models, strengthen India’s compute infrastructure, and support the country’s broader ambition to become a global AI powerhouse.
Furthering its enterprise-focused efforts, Reliance Intelligence has also become a strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud to drive the adoption of Gemini Enterprise in India. The platform has enabled organisations to build and deploy agentic AI tools across workflows, while Reliance Intelligence has been developing pre-built enterprise AI agents to expand available options for users.
Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries, said, “Reliance Intelligence aims to make intelligence services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians. Through our collaboration with strategic and long-term partners like Google, we aim to make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered – where every citizen and enterprise can harness intelligent tools to create, innovate and grow.”
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, said, “Reliance is a longstanding partner in Google’s goal of advancing India’s digital future – together we’ve brought affordable internet access and smartphones to millions. Now, we are bringing this collaboration into the AI era. Today’s announcement will put Google’s cutting-edge AI tools in the hands of consumers, businesses, and India’s vibrant developer community. I’m excited for how this partnership will help expand access to AI across India.”
