Bloomberg Media has entered into a new distribution partnership with JioTV, India’s leading OTT platform, to make its global business and financial programming accessible to digital audiences across the country.
As per the announcement, Bloomberg TV+ and Bloomberg Originals have been made available on JioTV and JioTV+, providing over 500 million Jio users with direct access to Bloomberg’s live global business news and documentary programming. JioTV currently offers over 1,000 TV channels in 16 languages from more than 200 broadcasters, while JioTV+ is available on connected TVs through JioFiber and AirFiber.
Indian viewers have been able to stream Bloomberg’s lineup of shows, including The Asia Trade, Bloomberg Tech, The Future with Hannah Fry, and Insight with Haslinda Amin, which feature reporting and analysis on markets, economies, and innovation worldwide.
The move has marked another step in Bloomberg’s ongoing expansion in India. Earlier this year, the company launched an upgraded television studio in Mumbai to strengthen its local news production and deliver more timely and credible business coverage.
“India is one of the fastest-growing markets for Bloomberg Media, and we’re thrilled to work with JioTV to bring our trusted global business news and video content to a broader audience at scale,” said Roman Mackiewicz, Chief Information Officer, Bloomberg Media. “This partnership harnesses Jio TV’s expansive reach to distribute Bloomberg’s trusted journalism to millions of new viewers, advancing our ability to provide investors with insights they need to succeed in today’s global economy.”
