Neha Barjatya has joined Peak XV Partners as Chief Marketing Officer. She will lead marketing strategy and brand initiatives for the venture capital firm, which has invested in over 400 companies with more than 50 unicorns and 31 IPOs.
She announced this appointment via a LinkedIn update.
Barjatya was Marketing Director at Google India from March 2020 to August 2025, where she led marketing for Consumer Apps including Search, Gemini, and Maps, and Platforms & Devices such as Pixel, Android, and Play Store.
She previously served as Chief of Internet Saathi from December 2017 to March 2020, seconded by Google to set up and lead FREND (Foundation for Rural Entrepreneurship Development), supported by Tata Trusts and Google to create a network of technologically empowered individuals for socio-economic uplift of rural India.
Before that, she was Head of Business Marketing & Digitizing India Initiatives at Google from November 2011 to December 2017, leading B2B marketing for large advertisers, building Google’s brand and reputation framework in India, and driving initiatives such as the Great Online Shopping Festival, Internet Saathi, Android Skilling, and Google for India.
Earlier in her career, Barjatya worked at Viacom18 Media from July 2006 to October 2011 in marketing and branded content, and at Zee Turner from 2005 to 2006 as a marketing executive.
