Neha Barjatya has stepped down as marketing director at Google India, a role she held from March 2020 to August 2025. She led Google India’s marketing efforts for Consumer Apps including Search, Gemini, and Maps, and Platforms & Devices such as Pixel, Android, and Play Store.
She announced this via LinkedIn.
She was Chief of Internet Saathi from December 2017 to March 2020, seconded by Google to set up and lead FREND (Foundation for Rural Entrepreneurship Development), a foundation supported by Tata Trusts and Google to create a network of technologically empowered individuals for socio-economic uplift of Rural India.
Barjatya earlier served as Head of Business Marketing & Digitizing India Initiatives from November 2011 to December 2017, leading B2B marketing for large advertisers, setting up Google’s brand and reputation framework in India, and heading marquee initiatives such as the Great Online Shopping Festival, Internet Saathi, Android Skilling, and Google for India.
Before Google, she worked at Viacom 18 Media from July 2006 to October 2011 in marketing and branded content, and at Zee Turner from 2005 to 2006.
