Shivnath Thukral has stepped down from his role as Vice President, Public Policy at Meta India. His departure marks the end of a nearly seven-year tenure at the company, where he led policy and regulatory efforts across platforms including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
He announced his exit via LinkedIn.
Thukral joined Meta in 2017 as Public Policy Director for India & South Asia at Facebook. In 2020, he moved to WhatsApp as Public Policy Director, India, and held the role until April 2024. He was appointed VP, Public Policy at Meta India in 2022.
Prior to joining Meta, Thukral served as Managing Director at Carnegie India and held senior leadership roles at the Essar Group, where he was Group President for Corporate Branding and Strategic Initiatives.
