Bennett, Coleman & Co. (The Times of India) has appointed Gaurav Mashruwala as President – Times Experiences, the company’s new experiential marketing vertical.
Before joining The Times of India, Mashruwala was associated with Viacom18 as Business Head Viacom18 LIVE (Integrated Network Solutions) for nearly five years.
Before joining Viacom18, he worked with DOIT Creations (India) from September 2018 to September 2019.
He also co-founded Red October and worked there for over two years, from June 2017 to September 2019. WallUp was also co-founded by Mashruwala and he worked there for 1.5 years between August 2017 and December 2018.
In the past he was also associated with ELLE Magazine/Elle Decor India, Ogaan Publications, KOOH Sports, Network18 Media and Investments, Percept D’Mark, The Walt Disney Company and Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
As President – Times Experiences, Mashruwala will be responsible for overseeing the growth and profitability of the company’s experiential marketing business. He will lead the creation and execution of innovative experiential solutions, including brand IPs, brand solutions, and Business conclaves.
He will drive a comprehensive revenue strategy for the experiential business, maximise the potential of existing IPs, design new creative formats, and spearhead new business ventures. He will help add an accelerator to the Experiential Marketing Business unit by identifying Market opportunities and challenges, leveraging new technologies and platforms to generate offerings, solutions, and business models (both B2B and B2C).
Mashruwala, a commerce graduate from University of Mumbai and an MBA from KJ Somaiya, is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise across media, entertainment, and sports.
