The co-founder of Infosys, NR Narayana Murthy has expressed concerns over Indian youth and the scenario of unemployment in the country. He believes over 80% of the youngsters are not trained enough for getting jobs. Narayana thinks that the situation is getting worse and Indian education system is faulty for this.

He also emphasized on the fact that government has a crucial role in shaping the careers as youth and it becomes an important responsibility for the concerned officials to solve this issue on a large scale. Even after the starting of so many startups in last 2-3 years he thinks that startup policies and atmosphere is still not suitable for the early stage entrepreneurs who don’t have much fund.
“If we compare India with devolped countries such as US, UK, Germany and China, India is far behind in terms of ease of doing business”, he added. Murthy advised students to first decide their aim and select the sector in which they want to work in future.
The next level for them is to select a company which can give them practical experience about the industry. It is very important for every individual to understand about marketing, sales and human resources and how corporate world works.
He was very clear with his facts and proved that corporate governance in India is way behind the global standards. On talking about the threats of automation and Artificial Intelligence in jobs, Murthy said that these are more hype than reality.
