The clothing industry has become one of the most profitable industries in the world. Companies launched decades back have been able to establish themselves as one of the leaders in the market today.

The denim market particularly has been ever-changing and ever-growing among all others. Brands have been evolving with time and trends and have delivered a new design every season even with something as difficult as denim.

Women have been especially been targeted by these brands as they are a larger and a repetitive pool undoubtedly. Here are some of the national and international brands that are known for their denim for women in the country.

1. Levi’s

Levi’s is one of the leading denim brands in the country. Not just in the women’s segment, but the brand has established a stronghold overall. The brand was founded in 1853 by a German immigrant, Levi Strauss, who had moved to the states.

2. Pepe Jeans

The second leading brand today in the Indian market in the denim industry is Pepe Jeans. Pepe Jeans London was established in the Portobello Road area of London in 1973. It is now based in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Spain.

3. Wrangler

Wrangler is owned by  Kontoor Brands Inc. which is an American company. It was founded in 1904 and has since then become a global name in denim manufacturing.

4. ONLY

ONLY is an international fashion brand that was established especially for young women. Not only has the brand become a leading name in Europe but has a huge customer base in India as well.

5. H&M

H&M is a Swedish clothing company that is based in Stockholm. The brand was founded in 1947 and has become the first choice for many young women in the country.

6. Mango

Mango is a Spanish clothing company that was founded by brothers Isak Andic and Nahman Andic in 1984. The brand fashions many designs for both men and women however, its denim is particularly popular amongst women.

7. Vero Moda

Vero Moda is a clothing brand that is owned by the Bestseller group which is a Dutch family-owned business having other reputed brands like Only, Mamalicious, and Jack & Jones under its portfolio.

8. Numero Uno

Numero Uno Clothing Ltd. is one of India’s first indigenously manufactured denim labels and is also an apparel and accessories brand for men, and women. It was founded in 1987 by Hi Fashion Clothing Co.
