“Dashing through the snow, on a one horse open sleigh… Santa Claus is coming to town, laughing all the way…he he”

The lyrics may not be on point, but the information is. Yes, our favourite time of the year is just around the corner and we just can’t keep calm.  The brightly lit houses, X-mas trees decorated with ornaments, good food, new clothes, chocolates, cakes, laughter and presents; our surroundings will be full of these in just a few days and we simply cannot wait for Christmas (2022) season to begin.

As much as we love the vibe and vigour of Christmas, the brands love it too. Brands around the world try interesting and creative marketing ideas to promote their products during Christmas as this is the time to encash the demand this festive season creates.

If you own a brand or simply work for one and are thinking of doing something great as well as out of the box, we may have some outstanding ideas for you. Let us have a look at 10 marketing ideas that you can use this Christmas.

5 Marketing Ideas To Use This Christmas

1. Use Christmas specific Packaging

This one’s our favourite and hence tops our list. Brands use this as a fundamental Christmas Marketing technique and it works wonders. All you need to do is to use a Christmas themed packaging during the Christmas season for your products. It can be a totally new packaging or you can tweek your regular packaging with some Christmas specific details which can be as simple as a red and green ribbon tied on the packet. This is just an idea, be creative and we are sure your customers are going to love receiving their products covered in a festive vibe.

2. Introduce a Festive Contest

This is one technique that works for sure especially when its used during a festive season. You can post a festive contest on your brand’s website or social media. You can also introduce a Christmas specific hashtag or even a filter to spice things up. Just ask people to get engaged in a contest you have posted on your website/social media. It can be a questionnaire related to your brand or simple and fun tasks like posting a picture or a video wearing/using your product, tagging a number of friends etc. This is a good way of involving your customers as well as a lot of free promotion. The winners can get free samples of your products which is again a way to promote your products.

3. Go Old School- Send A Holiday Greeting Card

This one can never grow old. Who doesn’t like to receive beautiful greeting cards? You can get a greeting card designed and can send it with your orders along with a personalized message to your customers. You can also do it the digital way by simple sending an e-card to your email list with a small message from your brand. This way your customers will feel connected to the brand and will also bring a smileto their faces during the festive season.

4. Keep Your Customers Updated

What are you doing this Christmas? What special products are you going to launch? Or simply how is everyone celebrating Christmas at your brand’s office / workplace? These little details about how your brand is gearing up for Christmas this year keeps your audience hooked up to your page/website, thus proving to be a great marketing technique.

5. Design A Christmas Product

As basic as it sounds, it never fails to work. No matter what line of product your brand sells, launching a Christmas product during tefestive season can prove to be a great marketing idea that will draw customers towards your brand. It doesn’t need to be anything elaborate. It can be something as small as a notepad or a sock or a cap, totally depending on what your brand produces.
