The entertainment industry in India has expanded its horizon in the past few years. The gap between television and cinema has reduced considerably with many TV actors leading the industry today.

Actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, and many more came from the television industry. The actors from the industry have been doing really well apart from the work they do on screen.

1. Rupali Ganguly

Rupali Ganguly has been the most loved ‘bahu’ of the Indian television industry way before she got her fame in ‘Anupamaa’. Her quirky character in Sarabhai VS Sarabhai made her one of the most successful actors back in the early 2000s.

Apart from being one of the leading actors in the industry today, Rupali Ganguly runs an advertising agency that she started along with her father in 2000.

2. Karan Kundrra

Karan Kundrra recently shot to fame when he participated in the reality TV show, Bigg Boss and emerged as the second runner-up. He made his acting debut in 2009 with the lead role of Arjun Punj in Kitani Mohabbat Hai on NDTV Imagine. Apart from being a successful actor, model, and host, Karan is the owner of an international call center. He also runs a business that builds infrastructural amenities for new buildings under construction, alongside his father.

3. Rannvijay Singha

After winning the famous reality show MTV Roadies, Singha became a part of it for good 16 years.Rannvijay runs an outlet along with his friends that modifies bikes and adds special features to them. The actor also runs a master franchise, Döner and Gyros, with his friend Prateek Sachdev.

4. Aashka Goradia

Aashka Goradia got her fame after portraying the role of Kumud in Kkusum and Kalavati in Laagi Tujhse Lagan. She has now quit the entertainment industry but is pretty active on social media. Aashka Goradia has launched her own line of beauty products called Renee Cosmetics and also runs a yoga studio in Goa called Peace of Blue Yoga with her husband.

5. Sanjeeda Sheikh

Sanjeeda Sheikh is without a doubt the most famous actresses on Indian television. The actress now owns a beauty salon in her name, Sanjeeda’s Beauty Parlour, in suburban Mumbai.

6. Arjun Bijlani

Arjun Bijlani has had a very successful career in the television industry. He has worked in some of the most popular tv shows and has even participated in reality shows. Bijlani owns a liquor store in Mumbai and a BCL team called Mumbai Tigers.

7. Mohit Malik

Mohit Malik is know for his popular television roles include Bharat in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Samrat Singh Rathore in Doli Armaano Ki and Sikandar Singh Gill in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala.

The actor owns two eateries in Mumbai, namely, “Homemade Cafe” & “1BHK”, along with his wife.

Ronit Roy has not just made a name for himself in the television industry but has also starred in some of the leading movies as well. The actor owns Ace Security and Protection services in Mumbai that provided personal and professional security services to many celebs from the industry like, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, and Aamir Khan.

Mother Dairy is targeting a 20% increase in revenue to over Rs 24,000 crore in FY27, backed by rising consumer demand and plans to expand into new markets, according to media reports. As per media reports, the dairy major recorded a turnover of Rs 20,300 crore in FY26, up 17% year-on-year. The company has more than doubled its revenue over the last five years, crossing the Rs 20,000-crore milestone. As part of its growth strategy, Mother Dairy is looking to strengthen its presence outside Delhi-NCR. Chairman Meenesh Shah said the company is exploring entry into new markets where it currently has limited or no presence. The company is also setting up a dairy plant in Maharashtra, has leased a facility in Hyderabad, and is establishing a second plant in Bihar. Managing Director Jayateertha Chary said sales in the first two months of the fiscal have been encouraging, with ice cream emerging as a strong-performing category. Reports also suggest that from Mother Dairy’s FY26 turnover, the dairy business contributed more than Rs 15,000 crore, while edible oils and horticulture accounted for around Rs 5,000 crore. Around 63% of revenue came from Delhi-NCR, with the remainder generated from other parts of the country. The company currently reaches more than 95 cities across India and operates nine milk processing plants, four horticulture processing plants and 16 associated edible oil facilities.
