Air India and Zomato have announced a partnership that integrates the airline’s Maharaja Club loyalty programme with Zomato’s food delivery platform, creating a cross-industry rewards ecosystem for frequent flyers and food delivery users.
The tie-up has offered users multiple benefits from the start. Zomato customers who link their Maharaja Club account can now earn 2% points on food delivery transactions above ₹499. New Maharaja Club members linking their accounts via Zomato have also received a welcome bonus of 2,000 points after completing their first Air India flight activity. In addition, one member each day has stood a chance to win a complimentary one-way Economy Class ticket voucher, valid for booking and travel within six months.
Over the past two years, Air India has expanded Maharaja Club’s reach by partnering with more than 50 brands across categories. As a Star Alliance member, the airline has also offered its loyalty members global recognition and benefits across the alliance’s network.
“We are delighted to partner with Zomato to bring together travel and food, two subjects that are at the heart of family discussions and individual lifestyles,” said Sunil Suresh, Head of Marketing, Loyalty & E-commerce, Air India. “This partnership is in line with our continuing efforts to strengthen the value proposition of Maharaja Club and our vision of building it into one of the most rewarding loyalty programmes across industries.”
Rahul Gupta, VP, Zomato, added: “We’re always looking for ways to make Zomato more useful in our customers’ lives. With this partnership, customers can earn Air India Maharaja points when they order food on Zomato. It’s a simple idea that makes our product more rewarding and will now take you places – literally.”
