YouTube has introduced new features that allow users to hide recommendation pop-ups that appear at the end of the videos. A new Hide button is now available in the top-right corner of the video player, which, when tapped, will remove the end screen overlays for the current video being watched.
YouTube now allows users to hide end-of-video recommendation pop-ups, also known as end screens. A new Hide button appears in the top-right corner of the video player, letting viewers remove these overlays for the current video.
This setting applies only to the video being watched and does not affect others. To bring the recommendations back, users can tap the show button.
In addition to this update, YouTube has removed the Subscribe button that previously appeared when users moved the cursor over a video’s branded watermark. The company explained that this feature was redundant, as the Subscribe button is already located directly below the video player. According to YouTube, these changes were made in response to user feedback requesting fewer distractions and an improved focus on the content being viewed.
