Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO), the women’s wing of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, has appointed Dr. Tania Nijhawan as its President for the 2026–27 tenure, effective April 2026.
Dr. Nijhawan has brought over 15 years of experience as a cosmetic and paediatric dentist. She has founded Udana Wellness, a multi-speciality dental and wellness centre in Vasant Vihar. She has also served as Director at Nijhawan Group and has invested in startups across health, wellness, and hospitality, including Nuts For Us.
She has completed advanced academic programmes at New York University, University of Southern California, and University College London, shaping her multidisciplinary approach across cosmetic dentistry, implantology, smile design, and paediatric care.
YFLO has functioned as a platform for leadership, entrepreneurship, and professional development, bringing together women from diverse sectors. The organisation has enabled dialogue, collaboration, and community-driven initiatives.
Under Dr. Nijhawan’s leadership, YFLO has aimed to strengthen cross-sector engagement and expand conversations beyond business. Her agenda has included curated programming, industry discussions, and initiatives connecting women across disciplines. Her vision for the tenure has been themed “Lead With Your Light,” focusing on confidence, individuality, and purpose-driven leadership.
Her appointment has come at a time when discussions around women’s leadership and representation in India have continued to gain traction, including policy-level developments such as the Women’s Reservation Bill.
“YFLO has always stood for meaningful engagement and forward-thinking dialogue. I look forward to building a platform that not only encourages exchange of ideas but also actively supports emerging voices and creates opportunities for collaboration across sectors.” — Dr. Tania Nijhawan
“The Women’s Reservation Bill, which seeks to reserve 33% of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, is not just a policy shift- it is a generational opportunity. It acknowledges the urgent need for women to have a stronger voice in shaping the nation’s future. True progress lies not just in representation, but in enabling women to lead with agency, confidence, and impact. Platforms like YFLO have a critical role to play in preparing and empowering women to step into these leadership spaces“- Nijhawan added
