World’s Most Admired Companies by FORTUNE

A A

Top executives from across the world are ranked according to the firms with the best reputations by Korn Ferry’s unique relationship with FORTUNE.

The list of the 25 Most Powerful Women was first published this year. Additionally, it represents the most challenging in the history of this rating. We integrated our candidates to create one final ranking, a more realistic depiction of the current state of global business, as opposed to compiling different international and domestic versions, as we’ve done in some form since 2000. Even though there were a record number of female Fortune 500 list CEOs, there were fewer slots available as a result.

As a result, every woman on this list is currently or soon will be the CEO of either her present business or a rival. There’s no resting still—even for those at the top—as some of the highest-ranking CEOs are in the process of reinventing, reconstructing, or bringing around their businesses.

The list of the World’s Most Admired Companies was created by Fortune and survey partner Hey Group. 4,170 executives, directors, and financial analysts were surveyed to choose their top 10 favorite firms in order to compile the top 50. Any person might cast a vote for any business in any sector.

FORTUNE Top 10 of the World’s Most Admired Companies

1. Apple
2. Amazon.com
3. Microsoft
4. Pfizer
5. Walt Disney
6. Berkshire Hathaway
7. Alphabet
8. Starbucks
9. Netflix
10.JPMorgan Chase

Summary

* Candidates include FORTUNE 1000, Global 500, and other significant non-American businesses.
447 U.S. corporations were invited to take part across 52 industry categories, together with 188 non-U.S. businesses from 28 different
nations.
* Industry-specific surveys
* Approximately 15,000 chief management, outside shareholders, and industry analysts should be surveyed.
* Nine characteristics are used to rank the most well-known companies.
* An aggregate of the quality scores determines the company’s reputation score.
