The Adani Group, Capri Global, and the owners of the three male IPL clubs (Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore) have all placed winning offers to acquire the five female IPL franchises.
Owners of IPL teams Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals successfully submitted bids to join the WPL for amounts of 912.99 crore, 901 crore, and 810 crores, respectively.
For 757 crore, Capri Global Holdings acquired the franchise in Lucknow.
The competition will span 18 to 19 days and terminate in the final week of March, before the start of the men’s IPL.
Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, tweeted the results of the closed bidding.
