VAMA.app has launched Vama TV, a new in-app content vertical focused on spiritual micro-dramas designed for mobile-first audiences. The platform has introduced the offering as a short-form storytelling format centred on Indian mythology, temples, deities, and spiritual traditions.
The company has integrated Vama TV within the VAMA.app ecosystem and has positioned it as an extension of its existing FaithTech services. The platform has hosted multiple micro-drama series produced in-house by VAMA’s content team, with episodes designed for brief viewing durations aligned with current digital consumption patterns.
The first series on the platform, Hanumant Shani Leela, has launched with 10 episodes of approximately 90 seconds each. The series has drawn from mythological narratives and temple folklore and has been structured to appeal to millennial and Gen Z users across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
VAMA.app has stated that it will release new episodes weekly and expand the content library to include stories around temples, pujas, and deities. All content has been made available free within the VAMA.app for a limited period.
Beyond content, the company has continued to expand its temple partnerships, its spiritual commerce vertical VAMA Mall, and its planned offline spiritual travel offerings. VAMA.app has reported 1.5 million lifetime users and more than 500,000 pujas facilitated through its platform. The launch of Vama TV has added a content layer to its broader digital spiritual services.
Commenting on the launch, Manu Jain, Co-Founder & CEO, VAMA.app. “The spiritual consumption patterns in India are fundamentally shifting. The generation that grew up with Ramayana and Mahabharat on Doordarshan now has children who consume content on Instagram and YouTube. Today’s spiritual seekers, especially millennials and Gen Z, don’t just want to book a puja; they want to understand the ‘why’ behind it. They want stories that connect them to their roots. Vama TV is about creating that cultural context and emotional connection that transforms individual seekers into a community of engaged devotees.”
