The consumer wearables market in India comprises products like smartwatches, wristbands, and earbuds. This market has seen immense growth in the past few years, and its popularity is still on the rise. With newer technologies and brands making a foray into the market, there is a rise in customers too, with users coming in from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as well.

The Indian wearables market shipped 13.9 million units in the first quarter (Q1) this year, rising by 20%(on-year). Aggressive discounts and attractive sales offers are continuing the momentum, encouraging more buying by customers. Smartwatches have been the most purchased items, followed by earwear.

And what comes as more of a surprise, is that Indian brands are replacing foreign brands, emerging as favorites in the country.

Let’s take a look at the top five consumer wearable brands in 2022.

1. BOAt

Along with being the 5th largest wearable brand, boAt has captured 1/3rd market share, and has established itself as a winner in the consumer wearables market in India.

Offering stylish and sturdy products has been the key to achieving popularity, and Boat has made use of this to the fullest.

2.Noise

It is the tenth-largest smartwatch seller by market share in the world. It is the second most popular consumer wearable brand in India.

This is due to its affordable pricing, target markets, and even partnerships with e-commerce giants and financial institutions along with a strong celebrity base featuring Taapsee Pannu and Rohit Sharma, endorsing its products.

3. One Plus

Guided by the philosophy ‘Never Settle’, One Plus is the third top consumer wearable brand in India.

With watches and bands, One Plus is making not just its present felt, but also challenging conventions, but also using innovation and technology, in delivering best-in-class wearable products.

4. Fire-Boltt

The first brand to become the fourth most sold brand on Amazon within just 90 days of its launch. Fire Bolt has been smartwatches are highly popular with the millennial and mid-age crowd alike, offering BP and SPF monitoring, for its price segment.

With a robust battery life and integration with Boltt play App, this brand is the fourth top consumer wearable brand in India.

5. Realme

Smartwatches and fitness bands from Realme have been popular, making it the fifth most popular wearable brand in India.

The above brands have managed to dispense global competitors like Amazfit, Samsung, and Xiaomi, and emerged winners in their segments, globally as well.
