The Hurun Global Rich list for the year 2022 is out and the results are a mixed bag of surprises, with unexpected new entrants and the reigning richest individuals staying put. With 24 new entrants from different countries this year, China continues to dominate with the maximum number of billionaires at 1133 billionaires, followed by USA with 716 and then India at number three with more than 250 billionaires. The biggest gainers this year, were Sergey Brin and Larry Page from USA and Gautam Adani from India.
The Hurun Global Rich List 2022 report ranked a total of 3,381 billionaires from 2,557 companies and 69 countries.

Top 10 Richest People in the World
Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk was proclaimed the richest person in the world with $205 billion. Jeff Bezos, the Amazon honcho, follows with $ 188 billion. Bernard Arnault of the LVMH came in third on the global rich list with $153 billion.
Microsoft’s Bill Gates is fourth with $124 billion and Warren Buffet is fifth with $199 billion. Sergey Brin and Larry page, two of the top gainers in 2022, are sixth with $166 billion, and Steve Ballmer from Microsoft follows them, with a wealth of $107 billion.
Reliance industries’ Mukesh Ambani comes ninth with $103 billion and Bertrand Puech of Hermes is the tenth richest person in the world, with $102 billion, according to the HURUN Global Rich List 2022
New Indian Entrants
Four Indian names have made it to the Top 100, with a cumulative wealth amounting to a whopping $97 billion. Cyrus Poonawalla was ranked 55th with a net worth of $26 billion. With an increase of 41% to his wealth this year, he is the ‘Richest healthcare billionaire’ in the world.
L.N.Mittal of Arcelor Mittal, finished 60th on the global rich list, with $25 billion as his net worth. He is the second richest metals and mining businessman globally.
Radhakishan Damani & family with $23 billion is on number 67, and S.P.Hinduja & family too, shares the same rank.
