Thyrocare Technologies has appointed Rajdeep Panwar as its Chief Commercial Officer, strengthening its senior leadership as the company has continued to scale its diagnostics business across India. In his new role, Panwar has taken responsibility for the company’s overall profit and loss and has led its commercial functions across franchise, corporate and direct-to-consumer channels.
The company has stated that Panwar has brought a techno-commercial background with experience in diagnostics and healthcare services. Over his career, he has been involved in the launch and management of more than 200 diagnostic laboratories and has been part of the founding teams of two healthcare ventures. His experience has spanned multi-market expansion, strategic planning and the scaling of multi-centre diagnostic operations.
Prior to joining Thyrocare, Panwar has served as Director at GHL Pharma and Diagnostics (GHL–Medanta), where he has played a role in expanding Medanta Labs across North India. He has also held leadership roles at Apollo Diagnostics, Johnson & Johnson and Dr. Lal PathLabs, where he has worked across business expansion, commercial strategy, technical operations, customer support, process excellence, accreditation and organisational transformation.
In his current role, Panwar has overseen commercial responsibilities including customer relationship management, customer operations, catalogue management and radiology services. The company has said that his focus has been on driving revenue growth, improving customer experience and expanding Thyrocare’s footprint nationwide.
The appointment has come as Thyrocare, part of API Holdings, has continued to emphasise affordable and accessible diagnostics while strengthening its leadership bench to support long-term growth.
Commenting on his appointment, Panwar, Chief Commercial Officer of Thyrocare, stated, “I am excited to join Thyrocare at a pivotal phase of its growth. The company’s mission to make high-quality diagnostics affordable and accessible across India strongly resonates with me. With its deep partner network and strong scientific foundation, Thyrocare is well positioned to get closer to patients and drive meaningful impact at scale.”
Rahul Guha, Managing Director and CEO of API Holdings, said, “As Thyrocare continues to scale, strengthening our leadership team is critical, and particularly having strong commercial leadership is key. Rajdeep brings deep experience in building and expanding diagnostics businesses in India. We believe his leadership will help strengthen our market approach and deepen engagement with customers and partners. In combination with Dr. Kinha, who recently joined us as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and brings deep operational and quality expertise, the Thyrocare leadership team is best in class and well positioned to win in this growing market.”
