It was a usual Sunday morning at the Pune airport when travelers arriving from various parts of the country got to experience a pleasant surprise as Pune’s premier shopping and lifestyle destination, Phoenix Marketcity Pune initiated a unique consumer engagement campaign. As part of 100-day long Phoenix Festival, Phoenix Marketcity Pune celebrated the new year by welcoming visitors and Punekars returning home with exciting new year gift boxes on January 6th.
For this campaign Phoenix Marketcity, Pune tied up with 24 flights with 10 Spicejet and remaining 14 being mix of other airlines like Jetairways, Vistara, IndiGo. The activity went on for 18 hours with Phoenix Marketcity distributing more 4300 gifts amongst passengers.
Reaction of travelers
While travelers were waiting for their language at the designated conveyor belt, they were surprised to see boxes full of gifts being rolled out. Soon, there were smiles and chit chat all around as passengers started picking up the gift boxes. People unboxed the surprise gifts with full enthusiasm and clicking pictures with it.
And It Went Viral
The campaign went viral with people posting photographs, thank you messages n their social media accounts with hashtag #TheGoodLifeMoment and #happynewyear2019. The videos and pictures were full of people thanking Phoenix market for such an amazing humility in the busiest atmosphere.
