A Volkswagen group company, Skoda Pvt Ltd eyes to launch three new models in India in the latter quarter of the year. As a strategy to boost sales in the Indian market and increase the revenue, Skoda is all set to start a new campaign to launch the three models!

Kodiaq SUV, Octavia RS and the Rapid Monte Carlo are the ones to be launched. Out of the three models, the Skoda Kodiaq will be launched in the last quarter of this calendar year, while the Octavia RS and Rapid Monte Carlo will be launched this month. All the models will be manufactured in India at the company’s factories in Aurangabad and Chakan.
According to reports, Skoda has made an investment of almost 100 crores for this new campaign.The bookings have already been open by the company and Kodiaq can be booked by 1 lakh rupees.
Kodiaq SUV
It’s a premium seven seater SUV model making it more alluring with projector headlamps with LED lamps, LED split tail lamps and a panoramic sunroof. Other features being body-coloured roof rails, a blacked-out section on the front and rear bumpers and side body cladding. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth Connectivity will also be available.
Octavia RS
This one would be launched by the end of this month. It will be powered by two petrol and one diesel engine with an aggressive body kit with larger alloy wheels, LED headlamps with DRLs, tail lamps, fog lamps, steel exhaust tips and a tailgate spoiler. The safety package will include nine airbags, ESP, and park-assist.

Monte Carlo
It will be powered by the standard Rapid’s 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine that will be paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It will have a glittery red and black exterior. The interior will boast of faux-carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, a flat-bottom steering wheel, upholstery with red stitching on the gear knob and aluminum sports pedals.

Sudhir Rao, chairman and managing director at Skoda Auto India, said,
“A slew of initiatives undertaken in the last couple of years have started paying off. For instance, monthly average customer complaints have dropped to 370 in the first half of this year from 780 in 2013. We are not deviating from our core positioning of being a value luxury brand.”
With these new launches, Skoda expects to sell 20,000 units in 2017 thus improving their selling count that was 15,000 in 2015. They sold 2,820 units in the quarter end in June which is much less compared to their counterparts Mercedes Ben who sold 3,725 units.
Skoda is launching new initiatives to boost up sales. Menu pricing which allows owners to choose from a whole lot of services with prices attached and a four-year or 100,000km warranty and four years’ roadside assistance service at no additional cost. Owners who will visit maintenance workshops will also get a car delivery on the same day itself!
