Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Bhavna Verma as Vice President – Strategy and M&A for the Greater India Zone. She has succeeded Damini Chaudhari, who has recently moved into the role of Vice President – Services.
This appointment marked Verma’s second stint with the company, where she had earlier served as Exports Director – M&A Integration Office and held roles in strategy and sales excellence. The move has also underscored the company’s focus on leadership continuity and its long-term growth roadmap for the India market.
Verma has been tasked with leading corporate strategy, software strategy, sales excellence, and CSR for the zone. With over 17 years of experience across management consulting, corporate strategy, M&A and marketing, she has previously held leadership positions at Cargill, Honeywell, EY and Schneider Electric. In her most recent role at Cargill, she has headed strategy, category marketing and product management for the Food Solutions business.
The company has stated that her experience in shaping functional and business strategies and managing both organic and inorganic growth has aligned with its priorities for the next phase of expansion in India.
Deepak Sharma, Zone President – Greater India and MD and CEO, Schneider Electric India, said, “We are delighted to welcome Bhavna back to the Schneider Electric family. Her strength lies in rigorous problem-solving and converting strategy into execution at scale. With sharp business acumen and deep sector knowledge, she will help us chart new frontiers of growth in India and deliver greater value to the customers.”
Verma, on her appointment, said,“ Returning to Schneider Electric feels like a true homecoming. I am honored to take on this role and contribute to the company’s continued growth in India, which remains a strategic priority for our global operations. My focus will be on translating strategy into measurable outcomes by accelerating software-led value creation, reinforcing sales excellence, and ensuring our community initiatives are both purposeful and impactful.”
