Anurag Agrawal has joined BCCL (The Times of India) as Director – Response (West). Before this, he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sakshi Media Group for two years.
At Sakshi Media Group, Agrawal led the group’s transformation into new-age, nimble, and digital-ready media organisation. As Director – Response (West), he will be responsible for executing Sales Strategy, Driving Growth, Plan for monetisation of Revenue Opportunities and enhance TOI’s market presence for West region.
He had an earlier stint with BCCL for around eight years as Senior Vice President and Regional Head (North) – Sales and Business Development from April 2017 to August 2022, and as Vice President and Metro Head from August 2014 to March 2017.
Before that, he was associated with Tata Teleservices as Vice President and Head – Large Enterprise Business from December 2012 to August 2014. In this role, he was responsible for growing the Large Enterprise Customer segment encompassing all telecom products – Fixed and Mobile Voice, Fixed and Mobile Data, VAS and Solutions.
Between December 2011 and December 2012, he worked as Business Head at iProf Learning Solutions (India). As Business Head, he re-focused the business, developed additional business streams viz. PAAS and brought a sharp focus on striking alliances for faster scalability and focus. He also brought a significant attention to Consumer Experience.
Before that, he served as CEO – India Operations at Novatium Solution from December 2010 to November 2011. In this role, with P&L responsibility for India operations, he had the mandate to identify and grow business amongst various target user segments viz. Consumer, SME, Government etc. Launched consumer line of business from scratch – identifying the target segments, key markets, channel selection, launch strategy, supply chain network and processes for consumer satisfaction and engagement.
Previously, he held significant roles at several prominent organizations: Tata Sky, where he was engaged for over five years; Reliance Infocomm, for nearly three years; ICICI, for close to three years; Spice Communications, for three years; Hutch Essar, for two years; and C-DoT, where he spent nearly three years.
