Roombr, the AI-powered digital classroom platform, has appointed Fayyaz Hussain as its Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead global expansion and fundraising initiatives. The Bengaluru-based company has made the appointment as part of its ongoing efforts to scale operations across India and international markets.
The company has deployed 3,000 AI-enabled smart classrooms across 1,000 schools, impacting over 150,000 students in emerging parts of India within two years. As Roombr has entered a new phase of growth, the leadership addition has been seen as a move to drive strategic expansion and fundraising.
Hussain, a two-time entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience in scaling technology ventures, has held leadership positions at Paytm, iBibo Group, U2opia Mobile, and Times Internet. He has led early-stage GTM efforts, digital growth initiatives, and partnership programs across multiple markets.
Founded and bootstrapped by Satisha Naraharimurthy, Roombr has built a patented AI-powered digital classroom infrastructure that integrates hardware, software, analytics, and learning-outcome tracking for schools across India and emerging markets. The platform has been designed to drive personalised learning and measurable education outcomes while enabling teachers through technology.
As CGO, Hussain has been tasked with leading growth strategy, fundraising, and international market entry as the company positions itself among globally recognised innovation-led education infrastructure players. Roombr has also been preparing for a major fundraising round to accelerate deployment across India’s education ecosystem and expand into Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
“We are entering a scale-up phase where speed, capital strategy and global expansion become mission-critical. Fayyaz’s leadership and track record in scaling tech companies makes him the ideal partner to drive our next chapter as we deepen our India footprint and expand into Southeast Asia and the Middle East,” said Satisha Naraharimurthy, Founder and CEO of Roombr.
“Roombr is one of those rare Made-in-India companies solving a foundational education challenge with global-class technology. I look forward to working with Satish and the team to unlock new markets, expand institutional partnerships, and scale impact globally,” said Hussain.
