Preetam Thingalaya has joined Bullet as Vice President – Marketing in August 2025. In his new role, he will oversee marketing strategy, audience growth, and brand positioning for the micro-drama app.
Thingalaya was most recently Head of Marketing at Eshtory under OrangeGlobal Stories between December 2024 and July 2025, where he led brand and marketing strategy for the audio storytelling platform and built the function from the ground up.
Prior to that, he spent nearly five years with Mirum India (a VML company), serving as Director of Media from March 2020 to April 2024 and later as Vice President – Media until November 2024. During his time there, he oversaw integrated digital strategies across social, programmatic, and influencer marketing, and played a key role in expanding the media practice across India and APAC.
Between May 2019 and March 2020, Thingalaya worked with ZEE5 as Lead – Digital Marketing for SVOD and Music, managing user acquisition and engagement for the platform’s premium content portfolio.
Earlier, he served as Senior Director – Digital at Mindshare from March 2015 to April 2019, where he handled digital operations for clients such as Bajaj Auto, Aditya Birla Group, Pantaloons, and UltraTech.
Before that, he was Media Director – Digital and Mobile Services for Hindustan Unilever at PHD between January 2012 and March 2015, managing media strategy for key categories including deodorants, oral care, and ice creams.
Thingalaya’s earlier stints include roles at Hungama as Senior Manager – Sales, Media 2010–2012 and Games2win India, where he worked in multiple capacities between 2006 and 2010, including as Activation Head.
He began his career in marketing at McDonald’s India in 1999, where he spent over six years leading events, promotions, and regional campaigns across West and South India.
