Piyush Thakur has stepped down from his role as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Inshorts after a tenure spanning nearly a decade. In his most recent role since April 2024, he has led revenue strategy and growth initiatives for the platform, having previously served as Vice President, where he has overseen business expansion and monetisation efforts across the organisation.
Thakur has shared the update about his departure through a post on LinkedIn, reflecting on his journey with the company and signalling the beginning of a new chapter in his professional career.
Prior to this, Thakur has held multiple leadership roles across digital media and advertising organisations. At Inshorts, he has served as Vice President from October 2016 to April 2024. Before joining Inshorts, he worked at ESPN as Senior Regional Manager from October 2015 to October 2016 in the Greater Delhi Area.
He has also been associated with Times Internet from January 2013 to September 2015, where he has served as Chief Manager from January 2013 to March 2015 and later as Head of Business Development from April 2015 to September 2015, based in Gurugram. Earlier in his career, he has worked as Head of Business Development at Brandmovers from June 2012 to June 2013.
Thakur has also held roles at Komli Media, where he has worked as Senior Manager – Brand Sales from October 2011 to June 2012 and as Brand Sales Manager – Facebook from November 2010 to October 2011. Prior to that, he has been Area Manager – North at Minglebox Communications from October 2009 to November 2010, and Manager at Info Edge India (Naukri.com) from January 2006 to October 2009.
