Piyush Pandey Receives Posthumous Padma Bhushan For Contributions To Indian Advertising

Piyush Pandey has been posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour, in recognition of his contributions to Indian advertising and brand communication. The honour has acknowledged his lasting impact on creative storytelling, brand strategy, and the evolution of advertising in the country.

Over the course of his career, Pandey has been credited with shaping some of India’s most iconic advertising campaigns, redefining how brands connect with consumers through emotional insight, cultural relevance, and narrative-led communication. His work has played a key role in positioning advertising as both a commercial and cultural force.

As Chief Advisor at Ogilvy India, Pandey has mentored generations of creative professionals and guided strategic and creative thinking within the agency. His leadership has contributed to strengthening India’s standing in global advertising and creative excellence.
