Paytm Ads Senior Vice President Sameer Kapoor Steps Down

After being associated with Paytm Ads for more than four years, Sameer Kapoor called it quits as Senior Vice President (VP). He joined the company in February 2020 as VP Business.

Paytm Ads Senior Vice President Sameer Kapoor Steps Down

After being associated with Paytm Ads for over four years, Sameer Kapoor has moved on from the role of Senior Vice President (VP).

He joined the company in February 2020 as VP Business, a role he served until May 2022. Before this, he served as VP- Head of Agency Ad Sales at Hotstar from October 2018 to February 2020.

Previously, he was associated with Google for five years. He joined the company as Industry Head- Agency Business- India and Southeast Asia (SEA) in October 2013. Later, he was elevated to Head of Brand Measurement- India and SEA, a role he served from September 2016 to September 2018.

Prior to this, Kapoor was associated with Starcom as VP from January 2013 to October 2013.

Before joining Starcom, he was associated with Madison World for over six years. He joined the network agency in October 2006 as Account Controller. Later, he was promoted to Business Leader in April 2008. He then served as Deputy General Manager from August 2010 to August 2011. Finally, he served as General Manager from September 2011 to January 2013.

Previously, he was Media Group Head at Initiative Media from May 2006 to September 2006.

In his previous stint with Madison, from April 2004 to May 2006, he worked as Account Manager at Madison Communications.

In the past, he served as Media Planner at Lodestar Universal from 2002 to 2003.

He took it to LinkedIn to announce his move and wrote, “I had an interesting start to this journey. 2 weeks into the role (still trying to figure out the best cafeteria food), we had an unprecedented nationwide lockdown. Selling a new business model in an unsure environment that impacted each of us personally was extremely challenging, but thanks to the leadership and management support, Paytm Ads remained committed to the vision of its offerings for clients and users. In fact, we built our team even stronger with high-quality talent during the tough quarters of the pandemic.”
