Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurveda informed the Supreme Court that it has stopped selling 14 products following the suspension of their manufacturing licenses by a state authority in Uttarakhand in April.
As per reports, the company informed a bench consisting of Justices Hima Kohli and Sandeep Mehta that it has asked 5,606 franchise stores to withdraw the products. Additionally, media platforms have been asked to remove advertisements for these 14 products across all formats.
The list of banned products includes, Swasari Gold, Swasari, Vati Bronchom, Swasari Pravahi, Swasari Avaleh, Mukta Vati Extra Power, Lipidom, Bp Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, Eyegrit Gold and Patanjali Drishti Eye Drop, reports stated.
The court was hearing a petition from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) alleging that Patanjali conducted a negative drive against Covid vaccination efforts and modern medical practices. The bench will hear the matter again on July 30.
