Only Much Louder (OML), a full-service creative and entertainment agency, has developed a campaign for the launch of the Moto Edge 60 Fusion, which will be available exclusively on Flipkart from April 9.
A key part of the campaign is a full-page ad in The Times of India that creates an optical illusion, making the flat newspaper page appear curved. The ad reads, “Although it may seem curved, this newspaper page is still flat – just like most ‘quad-curved’ phones,” highlighting the Moto Edge 60 Fusion as the only smartphone in the Indian market with a truly all-curved display.
The ad gained traction online within hours, with users sharing it across social media. Meme pages like therealshitgyaan and BCBilliofficial, and creators such as Sagarcasm and Gaurag posted about it. On LinkedIn, creators Ashish Jhunjhunwala and Shitiz Dogra noted how the campaign gave new relevance to print advertising. Users responded with comments such as, “Motorola just fact-checked the entire smartphone industry with a newspaper.” The campaign helped #MotoEdge60FusionOnFlipkart trend at No. 1 on X.
Pankaj Malani, SVP, Revenue at OML, said, “At OML, we focus on real consumer pain points and aim to address them through creativity. With the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, the goal was to create interest and encourage people to look at smartphones differently.”
The campaign also included billboards carrying the message “Your life is not boring, your display is,” and a separate ad based on the online dating experience, showing how the phone’s true-colour camera helps profile pictures look more accurate.
OML’s campaign combines print, digital, and outdoor media to underline the Moto Edge 60 Fusion’s key features and differentiate it from competitors in the smartphone market.
