Ola’s Sidharth Shakdher Joins Paytm As CMO & Business Head

Paytm has appointed Sidharth Shakdher as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Business Head.

As per reports, he will collaborate with Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Paytm, and will play a role in driving the company’s growth with attention to achieving profitability.

Before this, he served as Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Ola, from January 2024 till his move now.

Previously, he was associated with Disney+ Hotstar for over seven years. He joined the company in June 2016 as Senior Vice President and Growth Head. Following this, he was elevated to Executive Vice President and Business Head in September 2018.

In this role, he drove the business strategy, brand and digital marketing, product and content strategy, monetisation, consumer acquisition or retention or lifecycle, and data analytics. Finally, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and CMO in January 2021. In this position, he led the marketing, growth, and direct-to-consumer business for the company.

Earlier, he served as Head- Marketing, and Growth from February 2015 to June 2016.

From February 2010 to February 2015, Shakdher was Category Marketing Head at Reckitt. Prior to this, he was Senior Marketing Manager- India and South Asia at Xerox from September 2006 to October 2008.

Previously, he was Country Category Manager at HP for a year. Before working with HP, he served as Product Marketing Manager at Canon Inc. from October 2003 to September 2005.

In the past, he was associated with Samsung SDS from May 2000 to September 2003. In this role, he managed the strategy, pre-sales consulting, techno-commercial models, and delivery for mobile applications software business.
