Nykaa Appoints Good Glamm Group’s Sukhleen Aneja As Kay Beauty’s New SVP & Business Head

To drive Kay Beauty’s growth in India, Nykaa has appointed former Good Brands Co CEO- Sukhleen Aneja who had recently called it quits at Good Glamm Group as the new Senior Vice President and Business Head for Kay Beauty, which is Nykaa’s first ever celebrity beauty brand in partnership with Katrina Kaif.

Nykaa Appoints Good Glamm Group’s Sukhleen Aneja As Kay Beauty’s New SVP & Business Head

India’s leading beauty and fashion retailer- Nykaa has appointed former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Good Brands Co (part of Good Glamm Group)- Sukhleen Aneja as the new Senior Vice President and Business Head for Kay Beauty, its first ever celebrity beauty brand in partnership with Katrina Kaif.

Launched in 2019, Kay Beauty is India’s first celebrity makeup brand, co-created by Nykaa and Katrina Kaif, which today reaches a record sales of over Rs 150 crore annually as it is extensively distributed across both online and offline channels including 150+ Nykaa stores and 450+ selective beauty retail outlets across India.

Therefore, in her new role at Nykaa, Aneja will focus on propelling growth for Kay Beauty in International markets on the back of an extremely successful launch in India. Additionally, she will also hold responsibility for Nyveda, a brand based on Science of Ayurveda with a universal appeal in India and abroad, as well as provide strategic directions for few of the young brands in wellness and personal care.

That being said, the bollywood celebrity is also personally involved with Nykaa’s innovation team to create a makeup collection where each product has specific ‘kare’ ingredients to nourish the skin, while at the same time delivering a long wear, high performance finish.

With an unequivocal commitment to bringing the latest trends to the Indian market in an inclusive manner, Kay Beauty has innovated ahead of the market and seen some blockbuster product launches- latest of which was the Hydra creme lipstick range that sold quite successfully, as per Nykaa, across all channels. In fact, Kay Beauty, as per the company is bolstered by the consumer love it has received by the inclusive and diverse Kay Community which is 1.5 million strong on Instagram, reiterating that #ItsKayToBeYou.

Joining Nykaa from The Good Glamm Group’s Good Brands Co, Aneja brings with her over two decades of rich sales and marketing experiences across Fortune 500 organisations like Unilever, L’Oreal and Reckitt Benckiser. All these years, she has made a name for herself in the industry by honing her skills in scaling brands via creating strategic roadmaps, leading innovation, transforming businesses and creating agile organisations.

Prior to joining The Good Glamm Group in December 2021, Aneja was associated with Reckitt for close to five years, starting May 2017, as its Chief Marketing Officer- RB Hygiene for South Asia. Before that she also served the role of General Manager- International Marketing (Garnier, S. APAC) at Loreal.

In an earlier stint with Reckitt which lasted for more than three-and-a-half years, she was associated with the company first as Area Innovation Manager- Dettol/ Lysol (Asia, EMEA and Latin America) from 2012 to 2014 and then assumed the role of Category Marketing Manager- Developing Markets for Veet, Durex and Scholl from 2014 to August 2015.

Earlier on, she also worked with Unilever across various roles including ASM- Personal Care (Uttar Pradesh), Senior Brand Manager- Knorr (Savoury and Meal Makers for South Asia) and Marketing Manager- Innovations at Lakme.

Adding to this, Aneja, who has now joined Nykaa as Senior Vice President and Business Head for Kay Beauty, remarked, “I am thrilled to join Nykaa and look forward to driving growth and innovation in Kay Beauty and Nyveda.
