Nikhil Madhok has been elevated to Head of Original Content, India at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. In his earlier role at the company, he was serving as Head of Hindi Originals.
Before joining Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, he was leading Hotstar’s Original Content from January 2018 to September 2022.
Notably, Aparna Purohit, the Head of Originals for India and Southeast Asia at Prime Video, has recently stepped down after over eight years with the company.
Earlier, Madhok was associated with Discovery Inc as Head of Products, Asia Pacific, from December 2016 to December 2017.
Between December 2011 and September 2015, he held several key positions at Star India. He served as Vice President, Network Marketing; Senior Vice President, Marketing and Programming Strategy, and eventually, Business Head.
In the past, he was also associated with Turner and Unilever.
