Popular streaming service provider Netflix India made fun of government’s decision to link Aadhar card to public services in their latest ‘Black Mirror‘ clip. Black Mirror is a famous science fiction series which shows how future technologies can change daily life. The 4th season of Black Mirror is currently running on Netflix.
The 19-second video clip is based on Black Mirror episode Hang the DJ, in which characters used a device to find love partners. The device tells how long the selected partners will continue dating, this is called “expiry date” of the couple.
Netflix’s Twitter account posted a small clip in which a character asks a device about the expiry date of his relationship with the lady whom she loves and is dating, and the device shows a message reading: ‘Link Aadhaar card to find out’. Below is the video Netflix India posted:
