Meta has added additional personalization tools to Facebook reels. Users are now able to choose ‘what they want to see more or less of’ with the new feature, making the video they view more relevant to them. The business also mentioned that it is creating short-form videos that are more easily accessible on Facebook by adding reels to the primary navigation of Facebook Watch.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, posted on Facebook, saying, “We’re making it easier to discover reels on Facebook by adding them to the top of the Watch tab and introducing new controls so you can give us feedback on the content you want to see more or less of.”
One of the main updates is the ability for users to control the content they see in their Reels feed. Users can now select topics they are interested in, such as cooking or fashion, and Reels will curate content related to those topics. This allows for a more personalized experience and helps users discover new content they may not have otherwise found.
In addition to the topic selection feature, Meta has also introduced new discovery tools. Users can now browse popular Reels categories and hashtags, which can help them discover new content creators and trends.

Also, Meta’s blog post said: “We’ve added reels to the main navigation at the top of Facebook Watch to give you quick access to short-form videos, making it easier to discover creators, trends, and content that matches your interests. Additionally, when watching videos on Facebook, you’ll now be able to scroll seamlessly between reels and long-form videos.”
The company said that by touching the menu with three dots at the bottom of the video player and choosing either — Show More or Show Less — customers may specify the sorts of reels they would see more or less of to fit their preferences.
Users will also see this option below Reels & videos on their Watch stream.
Overall, these new discovery and personalization controls for Reels are a positive step forward for Meta. By giving users more control over their content experience, the platform can better compete with other short-form video platforms like TikTok and continue to grow its user base.
