After being associated with Spotify India for a period of more than three years, Vineet Kanabar has joined Matrix Partners India as Vice President- Marketing.

He had joined the music and podcast streaming platform in February 2021 as Content Marketing Lead and was elevated to the role of Music, Culture and Communities Lead in February 2023.

Before joining Spotify, he served the role of Head-Content and Partnerships (West) at Wavemaker from June 2019 to February 2021.

Prior to that, Kanabar was associated with The Viral Fever for a period of more than three years, during which he served as TVF’s Head of Marketing from February 2016 to May 2019 and Associate Director- Marketing from February 2016 to June 2017.

Earlier on, he also worked with PHD Worldwide for two years. He joined the media agency as Media Supervisor- Digital and Mobility Services in March 2014 and was elevated to Group Head- Digital Strategy role in January 2015.

In the past, he also worked with Havas Media, Bates and Department of Information at Government of Gujarat.

Commenting on the development, he mentioned, “I’m entering the Matrix for a brand new challenge. After 3 amazing years of fandoms, content, culture marketing at Spotify, I’m glad to share that I’ve joined Matrix Partners India as Vice President, Marketing. This is not a drill.”

“Moving out of the entertainment business after a decade had me existential for a minute, but big changes need big appetites and big conviction. While saying goodbye to Spotify was bittersweet, I’m excited about taking my experience in the content game to be part of what’s next at Matrix, and the VC ecosystem,” he added.
