Food has been a very important part of Indian culture. With the different states and regions, India is home to many culinary marvels that are now popular all over the world.
Western countries have become really fond of Indian tastes and spices. This has helped many Indians abroad to open up their desi restaurants with a videsi twist. In fact even in the country, to cater to the taste palette of foreigners many Indian dishes are given a new twist.
Well no just for foreigners, fusion food has now become pretty popular amongst the countrymen and women. To attract more customers with something ‘new’, many eateries transform a traditional meal into something new altogether. While some are a success, some have left us all with many questions.
A Twitter user has recently shared a food vlog of a man making dosa in a very different way. In the video, the man who serves a dish called ‘Dil Khush Dosa,’ can be seen preparing the dosa with onion, capsicum, cheese, dry fruits, cherries, and coconut chutney among many other ingredients.
The video becomes cringy when the man tops up the dosa with garam masala and jeera powder.
How to screw a Dosa.
The purists will cringe seeing this. pic.twitter.com/y6cptCv943— Deepak Prabhu (@ragiing_bull) September 5, 2021
Ever since the video has been published, netizens are having a field day with a much-needed backlash against the man ruining a perfectly good dish.

Dada, Dosa is the most abused dish in India.
The original tastes amazing and doesn’t need much apart from a few chutneys (one is usually enough too IMO) + piping hot sambar!
But nooooo, they have to create these monstrosities 😭😭

Dosa has to be had the way it has to be had.
One can experiment but please don’t call it a Dosa.— Deepak Prabhu (@ragiing_bull) September 5, 2021

Give me a plain, crisp ghee dosa. That’s all I need for my dil to be khush.

People have been posting their thoughts about the ‘hybrid’ dosa ever since. Do you think you can experiment to this extent with a dish? Tag someone you know in the comments section who you think will still eat this dosa no matter what.
