Dan Shapero has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of LinkedIn, effective immediately. In his new role, Shapero will oversee the company’s operations, including leading the executive team, and will report to Ryan Roslansky, who continues in his position as EVP of LinkedIn and Microsoft Office at Microsoft.
Shapero announced the transition via an enthusiastic post on LinkedIn.
Separately, Mohak Shroff has taken on the role of President of Platforms & Digital Work. Reporting to Roslansky, Shroff will be responsible for driving technology strategy and long-term innovation across LinkedIn, as well as key areas under Roslansky’s remit at Microsoft, with a focus on shaping the future of work.
Shapero steps into the role with over a decade of leadership experience at LinkedIn. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer from January 2021 to April 2026, after previously holding roles as Chief Business Officer (SVP) between 2019 and 2021, VP Product from 2014 to 2019, and VP Global Sales, Talent Solutions from 2008 to 2014.
Beyond LinkedIn, he has been active as an angel investor since January 2025 and has held advisory roles with companies such as brightwheel (since 2021), Faire (2021–2022), Springboard (2016–2018), and Dropbox (2014–2016). He also served as a board member at Scoop Technologies, Inc. from 2017 to 2021.
Earlier in his career, Shapero worked as a manager at Bain & Company from 2004 to 2008, and was associated with Paramark and Zembu.
